Bette and her sister Dorothy were wedding planners touching the lives of numerous couples with her God given talent for creating memories.īette fulfilled her role as the family matriarch seriously, daily praying for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sharing Gods love and seeing many answers to prayer. After graduating high school in 1944 and then married Don Johnson in March 1944, before he left for the war.īette and Don enjoyed trailering the United States with family and friends covering every state, including Canada and Alaska. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Don Johnson.īette was born on in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Bette was blessed with 13 great grandchildren Parker, Ebony, Dallas, Abigail, Jase, Emily, Kade, Jax, Farren, Jaelyn, Jonas, Jaysa and Jaylee. Bette leaves behind four grandchildren Jackie Lee Ernest, Jason Ernest and his spouse Molly, Justin Ernest and his spouse Gina and Betsy Houchin and her spouse Jeromy. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ernest and her husband Jack and Marilyn Ernest. There will be a Memorial Service held at her church, Aurora Baptist Temple in Aurora, Missouri on Jat 11:00 AM. She is known for her love of family and love & faith in God. Along with 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren with 3 on the way. She is survived by her children, Tom Lentz, Trinidad Lentz, Gail and Dennis McDowell, Tim Lentz, Terry and Nancy Lentz, Tony Lentz, Amor Nicilla. She was preceded in death by her three sisters and two brothers along with her husband and son, Teddy Dean. Her desire was to have her family and all those around her to know the Lord. She accepted the Lord as her Savior in her early 20's. When she and her husband retired they moved to Aurora, Missouri. She opened a in home daycare which she did for over 30 years. They moved to Newton, Kansas in the early 70's. They soon married and started a family and serving the Lord together. In her mid 20's she met Raymond Lentz while working in Wichita, Kansas. and Dollie Ball on Jin Mapleton, Kansas. Reba passed peacefully in her home on Jin Aurora, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, July 17th, 2023 at Peterson Funeral Chapel. Garland is preceed in death by his parents, Lawerence and Dolly Parker his wife Ruby and his brother Glen Parker.įuneral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Aurora, burial to follow at Orange Cemetery. Survivors include his son, Perry Parker and his wife Kim of Aurora one daughter, Paula Parker of Aurora 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Garland was an Army Veteran, including serving during the Korean War, but was stationed in Germany. During retirment he proudly worked at Honey Creek Golf Course for 10 years. Garland also worked as Quality Control Supervisor at Fasco Industries in both Ozark and Cassville for 26 years. He was a long term member of the Orange Gospel Quartet, singing bass. He was a member of Orange Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served as the caretaker, member, and president of the Orange Cemetery board for over 50 years. Garland was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County where he served on the Aurora Rual Fire Department Board for more than 10 years. The son of Lawerence and Dolly (Arney) Parker. Parker, age 92 of Aurora, Missouri passed away Friday, Jat Mercy Hospital Aurora.
